Tolerance. A word that has increased in meaning over the last 60 some years. When I was a kid, tolerance meant not giggling when someone accidentally farted. Or putting up with having my cheeks pinched by an old maid aunt. Mom always used to say, "Now boys, so and so has a heart too. Don't be intolerant. That's not nice to say, don't be mean."
Today, Political Correctness has taken over that concept to the point where everyone is afraid to say an awful lot about, or to anyone. If they do it's like tip toeing through a field of eggs. Careful not to break some. We can't joke about gays because it hurts their feelings. Can't say mean things about any race, but whites, really. Insults them. I'm even a little afraid to give my dogs hell because it hurts their feelings. It really has gotten to the point of ridiculous. Thin skinned is in fashion today. Discipline in schools is affected by this too. Don't say or do, anything during discipline to hurt their little self-esteems. All of us are guilty to a point because we put up with this BS. Today's political climate i.e. liberal socialism, causes us all to have to support the ne'er do wells and allow them to, in many cases, live a better life than many POA, (people of age) Don't dare make the prisoners in our prisons uncomfortable, It just isn't right. No matter the discomfort they caused countless common folks. Free healthcare, meals, TV, phone privileges and so forth are all afforded our prisoners.

| Huh? Tolerance? |
I must tolerate a disturbance in the neighborhood because others have rights too. What about my right to quiet? We must tolerate all kinds of things that mama never told us about.
